Complete Hot Water
System Design

SIRAC does not sell products in isolation. We design, specify, supply and commission complete hot water infrastructure systems. Every component is selected as part of an integrated engineering solution.

How We Work

From Brief to
Commissioned System

SIRAC supports consultants and developers through every stage of the DHW design process, from initial concept through to handover and ongoing technical support.

01

Design Consultation

We review your building brief, occupancy data and performance requirements. Our engineers model demand profiles and recommend the optimal system architecture.

02

System Specification

Full equipment specification including generation plant, storage, distribution, controls and backup strategy. Coordinated with the wider MEP design team.

03

Supply & Installation

Equipment procurement, delivery and installation oversight. THERMOCUBE vessels assembled on-site where required. Full coordination with the main contractor.

04

Commissioning & Handover

System commissioning, performance verification, operator training and full documentation handover. Ongoing technical support from our Cape Town and Johannesburg offices.

System Architecture

Layered Architecture
for Every Building Type

Every SIRAC system follows a consistent layered architecture: primary generation, thermal storage, backup plant (where required), and controlled distribution. The specific equipment and configuration varies by building type and scale.

Solar Pre-Heat
Optional / Hybrid
Primary Generation
Heat Pumps / Recovery
Thermal Storage
THERMOCUBE / THERMOTUBE
Distribution
Zoned / Pressurised
Generation Layer

Heat pumps (air or ground source), heat recovery from HVAC, solar thermal pre-heat, or hybrid gas/electric systems. The generation strategy is matched to the building's energy profile and infrastructure availability.

Storage Layer

THERMOCUBE and THERMOTUBE storage vessels act as the thermal junction of the system. They buffer peak demand, connect multiple heat sources and deliver sanitised hot water through indirect heat exchange.

Distribution Layer

Pressurised risers, zoned circuits, return loops and temperature control. Designed to deliver consistent hot water to every outlet point regardless of building height, distance or simultaneous demand.
